DEVELOPMENT
This jacket comprised of 100% unbleached natural eyelet cotton was cut and sewn together. Once assembled, strips of chiffon were ripped, woven and knotted into the eyelet openings. By experimenting with several weaves, multiple textures were achieved within one garment.
Creation of the strands relied heavily on the 3D printer, with an original smiley face pattern being created to enhance the piece. In addition pills were also 3D printed and encased in clear vinyl plastic melted together to create "pill pouches". Holes were then cut into these pouches allowing them to be stranded together with metal hoops.
